Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian, who is in the president-headed delegation to Washington, today met with his Argentine counterpart Susana Malcorra.
The sides addressed different issues on the agenda of bilateral relations, including organization of high-level reciprocal visits, expansion of legal framework, cooperation in international organizations, as well as enhancing inter-parliamentary relations and promoting economic cooperation. They also exchanged opinions on the joint efforts towards further development of collaboration. In this connection, FM Nalbandian briefed FM Malcorra on the instructions given and measures to be taken as a result of the consultation on developing Armenian-Argentine relations, which was held at the Armenian President’s Palace last week.
The FMs expressed satisfaction with the high level of Armenian-Argentine ties, stressing the valuable contribution of the Armenian community in Argentina to their enhancement. FM Nalbandian expressed gratitude for the numerous manifestations of Argentina’s solidarity with Armenia and Armenian people.
By the end of the meeting, the Armenian FM invited Ms Malcorra to visit Armenia.
