Armenia’s 2018 economic activity index reveals 5.8% growth

According to the main macro-economic indicators released by the National Statistical Committee, Armenia’s economic activity increased by 5.8% in January-December 2018 compared to the same period of 2017. The December growth was 6.4% compared to against the previous year.

Decline was recorded in the gross agricultural output.

As of January-December 2018, the growth in the construction sector comprised 4.5%. The electricity production volume increased by 0.2% compared to the same period of 2017.

The observed growth in the services sector (trade excluded) was by 18.8%.
