Armenia and China mutually eliminate visa requirement

The government adopted the draft law “On ratification of the Agreement on mutual elimination of the visa requirement for persons holding regular passports between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the People’s Republic of China”.

Deputy Foreign Minister Artak Apitonyan, the keynote speaker, said: “Our interstate relations with China have steadily grown in recent years, dynamics of development both in political, economic and cultural spheres, the parties have expressed mutual interest to further deepen cooperation, especially through the promotion of tourism and personal contacts.”

He told the prime minister that his agreement was reached during his visit to China. Artak Apitonyan mentioned that in case of acceptance of the agreement citizens of Armenia and China will be exempted from visa for 90 days.
